Bonita graduated from Oxford University and spent 10 years in investment banking in London before moving to the South West and converting to law.  

As well as being Head of our Dispute Resolution team, Bonita specialises in commercial and property litigation, negligence claims against professional advisors, inheritance and trusts disputes, and disputes involving the Court of Protection and those lacking in mental capacity. She is known for her commercial awareness and straightforward, no-nonsense yet sensitive approach to litigation, which often represents uncharted waters to business and individual clients. 

Bonita has a special interest in the protection of the elderly and vulnerable from financial abuse. She regularly represents deputies/attorneys, care providers, IMCAs and service users and their families in all types of Court of Protection applications. She also advises on issues under the Mental Health Act and judicial reviews. Bonita also plays a key role in our mental capacity, wills and tax planning and social care teams. 

 She is a member of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS).
