Burroughs Day embraces independence and returns to its rootsMay 01, 2017
Burroughs Day leaves the QualitySolicitors brand after seven years as a founder member.
The 180-year-old Bristol and Portishead independent law firm has proudly rebranded itself as Burroughs Day LLP and announced its intention to strengthen its excellent legal services for individuals and businesses in the South West.
The firm’s makeover reflects both its rich history and its modern approach to making legal services more accessible. The timing coincides with a move to modern offices in a historic Grade II listed building in elegant Queen Square, Bristol.
“The time is now right for Burroughs Day to build on its own long-established, excellent reputation in the West Country, rather than being part of a national umbrella marketing network”, said Senior Partner Hugh Balchin.
“We have always been client-centred and independent. Our new brand reflects and embraces those long-held values. This is an exciting new chapter for our partners, staff and clients. They will benefit from the dynamism and innovation that we have within the firm.
“Burroughs Day has enjoyed the visibility that comes with being a national brand,’ added Mr Balchin.
“As a founder member of QS, we helped drive client-friendly initiatives such as more accessible opening hours and transparency on fees. Burroughs Day is still committed to improving the delivery of legal services, and will continue to develop this.
“We have enjoyed a close working relationship with QS over the years and wish them all the best for the future”.
The firm will trade as Burroughs Day LLP from 1 May 2017.
